The Vision
Fortius Clinic Wimbledon, part of the Affidea Group, is a leading private healthcare and sports medicine facility, supporting elite athletes and everyday patients alike. With multiple specialist treatment rooms, diagnostics spaces and client pathways, the Fortius team needed a fresh way to showcase their physical space digitally — both for patient orientation and internal optimisation.
The goal was clear:
Make complex spaces instantly understandable and engage their customers and potential customers before they even walk through the door.
Enable clinicians, patients and visitors to explore the clinic’s layout with confidence, reducing confusion, introduce them to their staff and elevate their overall experience.
The Solution
Medisites360 created a fully interactive 3D digital twin of Fortius Clinic Wimbledon, hosted online via their existing website. Working with the Fortius team we Visitors can now:
- Virtually navigate corridors and treatment zones
- Understand room adjacencies and clinic flow
- Preview key areas before arrival
- Access wayfinding cues without downloading an app
The Goal
For Fortius Clinic Wimbledon, the digital twin needed to deliver three core outcomes:
Enhance Patient Confidence Before Visit
Let prospective patients see where they’ll be treated and who will be treating them.
There had been on-going issues with customers finding the clinics location – starting the
digital twin on the street outside the clinic with clear signage on how to find the entrance.
By giving users orientation ahead of time, staff can focus more on care delivery and less on
direction‑giving.
Create a Reusable Digital Asset
A platform that supports not only current needs but future uses — from staff onboarding to
facility planning, remote payment and remote consultations.
How We Made It Happen
1. Detailed Scanning & Spatial Capture
We conducted a thorough on‑site capture session, mapping every public and clinical space using high‑precision scanning tools.
2. Digital Twin Build & Optimisation
Using that input data, we built an optimised, light-weight 3D model suitable for web delivery without sacrificing detail.
3. We filmed the staff members and, with our software, converted them into 3D avatars.
4. Experience Mapping & Navigation Logic
We added our proprietary overlay software to add digital signage, videos and information
and avatars of employees.
5. Web Deployment & Integration
The end result was deployed as a browser‑accessible experience — mobile responsive and embeddable — without forcing app downloads.
